夏金兰,男,1964年2月出生,湖南攸县人,生物化学博士,中南大学微生物学/生物工程学科教授,博士生导师。湖南省生物化学与分子生物学学会理事,中国湖沼与海洋学会海洋生物技术分会理事,主要研究资源、能源和环境微生物技术。

先后主要主讲过本科生/研究生学科基础和专业课程7门,其中本科生课程4门(生物化学,生物分析技术,微藻生物技术,生物材料学),研究生课程3门(高级生物化学,生物化学前沿与进展,资源加工学)。大多数课程采用了英文原版教材和双语教学方式,教学质量优秀,获教学质量优秀奖6次、教学改革成果奖4项。获比亚迪优秀教师奖1次。
